ATTENTION GMS COUGARS!
There is a national Creative Art Exhibit Contest for students in elementary, middle and high school. Create an original piece using any medium that represents the theme: "365 Days of Respect". Each month, one winner will be randomly drawn to win the national prize. The top three entries from Glades Middle School will win prizes. The entry form MUST be attached to all entries. The deadline is February 17, 2012 in order to be eligible for the Glades contest and the national contest. All artwork should be given to Ms. Lostumbo in room 416.

18th Annual Parent Survey
Each year, we conduct a survey of students, parents and teachers. The purpose of the Eighteenth Annual Parent Survey is to measure parents’ perspective of whether schools are meeting the goals and objectives that are most important in providing students with a quality education in a safe and secure learning environment.

Student PSA (Public Service Announcement) Contest
Challenge your student, grades 6–12 to create an exciting, innovative storyboard or script for a memorable Public Service Announcement that educates others about distracted driving. The grand–prize winner receives $1,000 and will embark on a trip to New York City, where a professional film crew will transform the student’s vision into a 30–second commercial! Four runners–up each will receive $500.

Incoming 6th Grade Parents
Mr. Sauer will be conducting tours of our school for our incoming 6th graders every Thursday at 10:00 a.m.. There are limited spaces each Thursday, so if you are interested, please call Mr. Sauer at 754-323-4600 to schedule an appointment.
Free Tutoring - eTutor provides free online homework help through live chat with a certified tutor from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. seven days a week. Broward eTutor also offers practice tests available online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The service is available to anyone with a Broward County library card. To obtain a free Broward County library card, visit your local public library. You may also access BEEP through the Links section of our website.
